Fair Weight Calculations
All of our charges are based upon very precise and nationally recognised formulas of calculating the weight of consignments.
Most consignments are based on their gravimetric weight in kilograms, however, lighter consignments can be charged based upon space that they use on a delivery vehicle.
Known as volumetric weight, this is calculated with the following formula:
Length x Width x Height (centimetres) divided by 4000 = Volumetric Weight (kilograms)
It is also advised that you compare this with the actual weight of a shipment as the heavier of the two weight samples is for what you will be charged.
